CYPRESS, Calif. – Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA), the fastest-growing Asian brand in the U.S. for the second consecutive year*, today announced the grand opening of the newest addition to its North American dealer network – Platinum Mitsubishi in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Platinum Mitsubishi joins the MMNA dealer network as a standalone Mitsubishi dealership serving the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania metropolitan area. This appointment supports MMNA’s ongoing goal to grow its dealer network into previously untapped urban and rural markets, while also increasing the visibility and awareness of the Mitsubishi brand as it continues redefine itself in the U.S.

In June, MMNA announced it would relocate its U.S. headquarters from Cypress, California to Franklin, Tennessee by the end of 2019. The relocation is part of an ongoing effort to reinvent every aspect of the Mitsubishi Motors brand and business in the U.S., from corporate leadership to dealer partners to every touchpoint in a customer's relationship with their vehicle. The company chose Franklin as its new home to take advantage of the area's vibrant technology and automotive skillset.

Over the past 18 months, MMNA added 34 new dealer partners while also expanding its national field operations network from two regions to four, adding new offices in Florida and California to reinforce sales support for dealers. The Florida and California teams joined established operations based in New Jersey and Texas.
