CYPRESS, Calif. – Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA), the fastest-growing Asian brand in the U.S. for the second consecutive year*, today announced the latest addition to its North American dealer network – Waterford Mitsubishi in Waterford, Michigan.

Waterford Mitsubishi is the second exclusive Mitsubishi dealership owned by Philip Lasco through the Lasco Auto Group, which also manages Grand Blanc Mitsubishi in Flint, Michigan. Grand Blanc Mitsubishi has quickly become one of the leading sales, service, and customer satisfaction dealerships in MMNA's Central region and is the number one volume Mitsubishi dealer in the state of Michigan. In 2018, Grand Blanc Mitsubishi was recognized as a was a Diamond Chapter of Excellence dealer by MMNA.

Waterford Mitsubishi is modeling itself after the successful blueprint set by Grand Blanc Mitsubishi, and will bring the Lasco Automotive Group's focus on high customer satisfaction and a passion for helping customers choose a vehicle best suited to their needs.

The opening of Waterford Mitsubishi further supports the company's continuing expansion of its dealer network into urban and rural markets where opportunities exist to further grow the brand.

In June, MMNA announced it would relocate its U.S. headquarters from Cypress, California to Franklin, Tennessee by the end of 2019. The relocation is part of an ongoing effort to reinvent every aspect of the Mitsubishi Motors brand and business in the U.S., from corporate leadership to dealer partners to every touchpoint in a customer's relationship with their vehicle. The company chose Franklin to take advantage of the area's business-friendly culture and deep pool of skilled workers as it recruits for more than 150 open positions across all departments.

Over the past 18 months, MMNA added more than 40 new dealer partners while also expanding its national field operations network from two regions to four, adding new offices in Florida and California to reinforce sales support for dealers. The Florida and California teams joined already established operations based in New Jersey and Texas.
