Mitsubishi Motors North America announces addition of five weeks to non-production period

Mitsubishi Motors North America (MMNA) today announced the addition of five weeks of non-production at its plant in Normal, Illinois, beginning the week of April 6. This additional period now means that a non-production period of a total of twelve weeks will begin February 16, 2009 and extend through May 8, 2009. Production is scheduled to resume on Monday, May 11, 2009.

The twelve week non-production period will optimize inventories of MMNA-produced products in the U.S. and overseas markets.
