Mitsubishi Motors reports February 2020 Sales; Best February Since 2004

FRANKLIN, Tenn. Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today reported February sales of 15,543 vehicles, up 13 percent over February of 2019, and the best February sales performance in 16 years. Calendar year-to-date sales through the end of February totaled 26,169 vehicles, an increase of 16.5 percent compared with the same period in 2019.

News and Notes

  • Outlander Sport, with 6,213 sales, reported its best-ever February sales performance.
  • Sales of Outlander, Mitsubishi's adventurous three-row, seven-passenger CUV, were up more than 52 percent over February of 2019, also the best-ever February sales performance.
  • February 2020 sales of the Mitsubishi Mirage, the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid vehicle sold in America1, were up 3.3 percent year-over-year as it continues to defy the industry trend away from cars to CUVs.
  • Showroom traffic throughout the latter half of the month was driven by a robust National Test Drive Event.
