Mitsubishi Motors Supports Team Record the Journey for 2019 Rebelle Rally
In October, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) partnered with Team Record the Journey, a nonprofit-based entry in the 2019 Rebelle Rally. The Rebelle Rally is the first all-women’s off-road navigation rally raid in the U.S. and the longest competition of its kind in the lower 48 states.

The partnership marked the first step for MMNA’s new corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative known as “Small Batch, Big Impact.” As part of the new CSR program, MMNA and its dealer partners plan to redefine the term “CUV” to mean “Community Utility Vehicle.” The CUV program will offer a series of vehicle loans to small nonprofits and social benefit organizations to help support their local communities.

Record the Journey charity founder Rachael Ridenour, a U.S. Army combat veteran with 31 years of service, teamed up with Karah Behrend, a seven-year U.S. Air Force veteran who had to medically retire after losing the use of her lower extremities and parts of her hands to a degenerative neurological disease. Behrend became the first adaptive athlete to ever compete in the Rally, and Team Record the Journey took second place in the Crossover Utility Vehicle class, winning the Team Spirit Award in the process.

Mitsubishi Dealers Bring Mitsubishi Road Safety Rally to Nashville
Hallmark Mitsubishi of Madison and Tim Short Mitsubishi of Clarksville teamed up to bring a free advanced driver training program – the Mitsubishi Road Safety Rally - for teens and their parents to The Fairgrounds Nashville on November 9th and 10th. The program was conducted by a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that conducts dozens of similar trainings nationwide each year.

The Mitsubishi Road Safety Rally curriculum included Distracted Driving Awareness, Panic Braking, Crash Avoidance, Dropped-wheel/Off-road Recovery and Car Control/Skid Recovery. This program was also a part of MMNA’s new CSR program “Small Batch – Big Impact,” which is based on the idea that small actions can lead to big change.

MMNA Confirms Location of New U.S. Headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee
Earlier this week MMNA confirmed the location for the company’s permanent headquarters in the Cool Springs district of Franklin, Tennessee.

The company has signed a long-term lease and will occupy the top two floors of the greenfield-developed Northside at McEwen building when it is completed in early spring, 2020. The building is located at 4015 Aspen Grove Drive, Franklin, TN 37067.

MMNA Ranks Third Most Improved Brand in YouGov NextGen Word Of Mouth Study
Earlier this month, MMNA was recognized as one of the top three Word of Mouth Improvers in the YouGov BrandIndex 2019 NextGen Word of Mouth U.S. study.

The YouGov BrandIndex screens all 1,753 brands in the study for positive Buzz, by asking respondents, "Have you heard anything positive about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news, or word of mouth?"

From a reinvigorated and expanded dealership network to all-new product, there are exciting changes on the horizon for Mitsubishi Motors in the U.S. The YouGov Word of Mouth Ranking is a meaningful indicator of the strong, positive trajectory the brand is already experiencing.

New Dealers Join Expanding Mitsubishi Dealership Network
Over the past few months, MMNA welcomed JTs Mitsubishi, Waterford Mitsubishi, Liccardi Mitsubishi, Inver Grove Mitsubishi, Apple Auto Mitsubishi and Auto Mart Mitsubishi into its expanding U.S. dealer network. The growing dealer body is a part of MMNA’s ongoing efforts to branch into previously untapped markets and increase awareness of the Mitsubishi brand as it continues redefine itself in the U.S. The brand has added 48 new dealer partners over the last 18 months.

Mitsubishi Motors Introduces MiDIGITALSOLUTIONS to Support Growing Dealer Network
MMNA recently launched the latest expansion of its “Small Batch” marketing efforts with the introduction of MiDIGITALSOLUTIONS, a comprehensive suite of digital marketing services and solutions for the growing U.S. network of Mitsubishi dealers.

Unlike most auto manufacturers’ digital programs, MMNA’s program was designed to be simple, transparent and affordable. Offering curated “good, better, best,” options, it balances an easy enrollment process with the flexibility to suit varying dealer needs and preferences. It also includes digital consulting services providing expert strategic advice, best practices and recommendations to help deliver a high return on investment for dealers.

Outlander PHEV Named Green Car Journal’s 2020 Family Green Car of the Year
The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV was recently honored as the first-ever 2020 Family Green Car of the Year™ by Green Car Journal.

2017 Mitsubishi Mirage Awarded ALG Pre-Owned Value Award
The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage received a Pre-Owned Value Award (POVA) from ALG. POVAs are awarded to 2017MY vehicles that have the lowest forecasted 2- to 5-year depreciation. ALG, the benchmark for forecasting future vehicle values and the analytics subsidiary of TrueCar, Inc. (NASDAQ: TRUE), recognizes three-year old vehicles in 26 segments that are forecast to depreciate the least over the subsequent 36 months in the used market.

Mitsubishi Kei Cars Honored as RJC Car of the Year
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced that eK X (pronounced eK cross) & eK Wagon Kei cars have been selected as the Automotive Researchers’ & Journalists’ Conference of Japan (RJC) Car of the Year 2020 after final judging on November 12.

Tokyo Motor Show World Premieres
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation unveiled the MI-TECH CONCEPT small-sized electrified SUV concept car and the SUPER HEIGHT K-WAGON CONCEPT Kei car at the Tokyo Motor Show in October.

The MI-TECH CONCEPT was built to be a small plug-in hybrid electric SUV that delivers unparalleled driving pleasure and confidence over all terrain. This concept car embodies the MMC brand statement “Drive Your Ambition” with a compact and lightweight new PHEV drivetrain, a four-motor electric 4WD system, and advanced driver assist and preventive safety technologies—all packed into the small-sized electrified SUV.

The SUPER HEIGHT K-WAGON CONCEPT is a next-generation super height Kei wagon that caters to drivers who want to go more places and longer distances. Offering the wide-open passenger space of a super height Kei wagon, it delivers the performance and functionality required in that vehicle category but with a design that expresses the unique flavor of MMC’s SUVs.

Mitsubishi Motors Launched Restyled Mirage and Attrage Compact Models in Thailand
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation launched a facelifted and updated Mirage hatchback and Attrage (Mirage G4) sedan models in Thailand on earlier this month. The facelift gives these compacts sharper and more dynamic exterior as well as more elegant interior designs.
