S-AWC Super All Wheel Control - ACD (Active Center Differential)

A hydraulic multi-plate clutch inside the ACD transfer regulates the differential limiting action between free and locked states to optimize front/rear wheel torque split and thereby produce the best balance between traction and steering response. MMC first used ACD in a production model in January 2001.
