"Its coupe styling is combined with Mitsubishi's SUV functionality and driving experience to create a car which is stylish, rugged and fun to drive. Its global success is proof that the concept is resonating with customers around the world."

In addition to its sales success, the Eclipse Cross was named as the "RJC Car of the Year 2019" by the Automotive Researchers' & Journalists' Conference of Japan (RJC).

The prestigious RJC prize is awarded by RJC's expert members, with the winner chosen from all Japanese models launched on the domestic market. Judges praised the Eclipse Cross' sharp looks, excellent rough road performance and well-balanced drivability.
