2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) placed 2nd in the Electric Vehicle Division (8th overall) in the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) with the i-MiEV Evolution driven by Mitsubishi factory test driver and two-time Dakar Rally winner Hiroshi Masuoka, and saw its electric vehicle racing team achieve an impressive debut in a production 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV driven by professional SCORE International off-road racer Beccy Gordon.
