Mitsubishi Motors USA Foundation donates $30,000 to American Red Cross of the Heartland

Mitsubishi Motors USA Foundation, in partnership with O'Brien Mitsubishi in Normal, Illinois, announced today it has donated $30,000 to the American Red Cross of the Heartland. The donation was made at a ceremony with American Red Cross officials at O'Brien Mitsubishi.

The funds will be instrumental in meeting the needs of the community through the Red Cross Home Fire campaign. Through this campaign, smoke alarm systems will be installed in at-risk areas and will help to prevent injuries and the loss of life, especially those at risk such as women, children and low socio-economic, by reducing the number of home fires.

"The American Red Cross is a great organization that works to improve the well-being of the community. We're honored to play a part in the Red Cross Home Fire campaign and trust that the donation made today will further their efforts," said Don Swearingen, executive vice president, MMNA.
