Mitsubishi Motors July sales results continue the brand's notable pace

  • July sales mark seventeen months of year-over-year sales increases
  • Best ever July sales for Outlander Sport

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) achieved its 17th consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases in July, reporting 7,868 units sold – an increase of 23.9 percent from July 2014. Year-to-date sales are up 24.8 percent over a strong July performance in 2014.

"July was another great sales month for the Mitsubishi Motors brand," said Don Swearingen, executive vice president of MMNA. "The sales growth we have seen these past seventeen months is a testimony that we provide affordable and reliable vehicles that consumers desire. Outlander Sport had its best July sales since the launch of the vehicle.

"As the new 2016 Outlander starts to arrive in dealerships this month, we are seeing an 86 percent increase in sales over the same month last year; the new Outlander is poised to attract even more buyers to the brand thanks to its new looks coupled to its incredible pricing."

The new Outlander features over 100 upgrades to its predecessor at a $200 lower starting MSRP. And like all Mitsubishi vehicles sold in the United States, it is backed up with an industry-leading powertrain limited warranty.
