ALL-WHEEL CONTROL (AWC)


All-Wheel Control continually monitors the road and intelligently transfers power to the wheels with the most traction to improve handing in the most challenging conditions, including driving on snow or ice.

SUPER ALL-WHEEL CONTROL (S-AWC)


Updated for 2014, Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) features four modes: NORMAL for everyday conditions, SNOW for wintry or loose terrain, LOCK for off-road, and the new AWC ECO Mode, which provides the ultimate balance of efficiency and control.

MIVEC ENGINE TECHNOLOGY (MIVEC)

INVECS ADAPTIVE SHIFT CONTROL TECHNOLOGY


Mitsubishi's innovative INVECS Adaptive Shift Control software adapts transmission behavior to most driving conditions. Through advanced electronic programming, INVECS learns your driving habits and responds accordingly by altering shift points. ACTIVE STABILITY AND TRACTION CONTROL (ASC)3


A standard safety feature in most Mitsubishi vehicles, Active Stability and Traction Control helps drivers maintain control in adverse driving conditions and during emergency maneuvers. Employing a series of sensors, ASC constantly monitors available traction and alerts the control unit, which works with the vehicle's anti-lock braking system to counteract slipping or loss of control by applying the brakes on specific wheels to help keep the vehicle moving in the intended direction.

MIEV TECHNOLOGY


The result of four decades of research, Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle (MiEV) technology is an integrated management system that constantly monitors and optimizes the flow of energy throughout the car. MiEV technology creates smooth and constant acceleration, distributes incoming energy from the regenerative brakes, and continually regulates the output from the battery. Simply put, MiEV is an automatic copilot that ensures all systems are, well, green.

Pike's Peak International Hill Climb


The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a time trial event for automobiles and motorcycles held annually at Colorado Springs from an elevation of 9,390 feet to 14,110 feet. With 156 turns, the 12.42-mile course features extraordinarily challenging conditions that serve as a proving ground to enhance the durability and reliability of Mitsubishi Motors’ advanced 100 percent electric vehicles (EV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) and gas/diesel-powered hybrid vehicles. Mitsubishi Motors' inaugural two-car EV campaign in 2012 saw an advanced i-MiEV Evolution racing prototype place second alongside an essentially stock version of the 100 percent electric-powered 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV in sixth place in the Electric Vehicle (EV) division. Mitsubishi Motors engineers worked hard to further boost the company's already class-leading EV/PHEV capabilities. In 2014, a pair of technologically advanced MiEV Evolution III prototype EV racecars took first and second in their division and placed second and third overall.
